Class Guitar Resources is a company founded by noted music educator
Nancy Marsters, who has taught class guitar in the public schools for
over 20 years. From this wealth of classroom experience, Nancy has developed
a highly effective curriculum designed to enable any music educator, regardless
of guitar ability, to be successful in teaching class guitar. The philosophy
behind the curriculum is that all students can be taught how to play guitar.
Nancy's unique multi-style approach focuses on correct technique, music-reading,
and music theory applied to the guitar.
This comprehensive, focused curriculum includes:
- 180 (90 for the middle school text) days of lesson plans organize the curriculum for effective sequencing
- Individual student assessment model built into the curriculum
- Textbooks provide in-depth coverage of music styles, chords, barre chords, notation, scales, arpeggios, position playing and ensembles
Highlights of our Text and Ensemble Series:
- Every book is classroom piloted for one year or more before publication
- Materials are designed to be implemented effectively by the non-guitarist music educator
- CDs are available for all ensemble student texts
